We began our
involvement with the medical auditing industry over 25 years ago
and have been developing technology solutions that support
Clinical Auditors for nearly as long.
Our initial software
design was created in 1987 and was highly focused on the audit
breakdown aspect of the audit process.
Our partners bring a
unique set of skills to our company which include extensive
knowledge of medical auditing, software development, and
business performance management.
Our medical auditing
division continues to run an extremely active practice that
always performs in the top 3% based upon productivity and
results. This practice allows us to develop and refine
technology that supports the audit process in a way that a
traditional software development company simply cannot
replicate. We learned many years ago that if you want a
software design to operate most efficiently make the programmer
use it to perform the daily tasks that auditors perform.
This strategy has
paid high dividends for us. In 1989 companies like Medco
Review and Healthcare Excellence (HCX) became aware of our
technology solutions and distributed hundreds of copies of the
software to their auditors. Remarkably copies of these
early designs are still used on a daily basis.
As our auditing
division grew it became clear that our auditors required more
than just an "audit breakdown" tool. Managing millions of
dollars of audits each month required a Practice Management tool
which provided the auditor with systems to automate many of the
other clerical aspects of their business and additionally
provide metrics to analyze productivity and results. Our
technology division (Category 5 Solutions) created AuditPMS as a
tool that provided these solutions.
In 2007 the company
began receiving calls from hospitals that were attempting to
replace their aging and unsupportable MARS systems. In
response to these inquiries Category 5 Solutions developed a
full featured and robust technology platform known as Centurion
with resources specifically tailored to the need of the
hospital's Clinical Auditing department.
The company has
continued to improve upon its initial design and today believes
it offers the premier software solution for hospital clinical
auditing. |
